Calm Belt

Calm Belt is a term in the Anime One Piece. Calm Belt first appeared in Chapter 101; Episode 54.

The black box in the image shows Going Merry. The size of the ship is very small compared to the Sea Kings.

There are two Calm Belts, running north and south of the Grand Line. These areas experience almost no wind and ocean currents^[1]. Calm Belt is also a breeding ground for huge Sea Kings^[2]. They are very effective barriers for those trying to enter the Grand Line.
