Calliostoma waikanae is a species of medium-sized sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc.
Some authors consider that the genus Calliostoma belongs in the family Calliostomatidae, other malacologists prefer to place it in the family Trochidae, the top shells.

This species is endemic to the Cook Strait area of New Zealand.
[edit] Shell description
The shell of this is similar to Calliostoma selectum but with the brown speckled spirals continued over the base, and in addition there are brownish blotches on the upper surface.
The shell height is up to 37 mm, and width is up to 42 mm.
