A service feature is a capability added to a phone line in addition to the basic capability to make and receive telephone calls. Many of them require dialing a vertical service code.

- Secondary Ring (The same telephone line is assigned an additional number with a different ring cadence. This is NOT another phone line, simply a different ring, also known as RingMaster or MultiRing)
- Fax Voicemail (Stores faxes in voicemail for later access)
- Call Trace (NOT Call return. User dials a code after an incoming call to send a trace to the number that called. User then must have phone company or annoyance call center get info on call. Used for annoyance calls.
- Call Selector (Allows multiples ringtones for incoming numbers)
