Caliphatism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Caliphatism is the goal of fundamentalist Muslims to re-establish a world-wide Islamic empire (Caliphate) by force, if necessary. This has been a major goal of Islamic terrorists such as Osama Bin Ladin and the Muslim Brotherhood. Radical Islamic organizations throughout the world also espouse this view including many in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan [1].
