California Pacific Medical Center

California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) is one of the largest private, non-profit, academic medical centers in Northern California.[citation needed] The Medical Center is a combination of three of San Francisco's oldest medical institutions: Pacific Presbyterian Hospital, Children's Hospital of San Francisco and Davies Medical Center, now known as the Pacific Campus, the California Campus and the Davies Campus. In 2006, St. Luke's hospital in San Francisco was added as the 4th Campus of CPMC.

CPMC hosts the California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute, which conducts basic science and clinical studies into a range of topics. The research institute is directed by Warren S. Browner, M.D., M.P.H.
