California's 9th Assembly District is one of 80 districts in the California State Assembly. It is currently represented by Democrat Dave Jones of Sacramento.

The district currently consists of a third of Sacramento County including most of the city of Sacramento, a small part of Arden-Arcade, two-thirds of Florin, and all of Parkway-South Sacramento.

The 9th district is a strongly Democratic district, with 52.6% of registered voters being registered Democrats and 28.9% registered Republicans.
