California's 4th State Assembly District is one of 80 districts in the California State Assembly. It is currently represented by Republican Ted Gaines of Roseville.

The district covers all of Alpine County, most of El Dorado and Placer Counties, and a small portion of Sacramento County.
It includes the cities of Auburn, Lincoln, Loomis, Placerville, Rocklin, Roseville, South Lake Tahoe, and the CDPs Alpine Village, Bear Valley, Cameron Park, Diamond Springs, Dollar Point, Foresthill, Georgetown, Kings Beach, Kirkwood, Markleeville, Mesa Vista, North Auburn, North Highlands, Pollock Pines, Rio Linda, Shingle Springs, Sunnyside-Tahoe City, and Tahoe Vista.
