Calgary Northeast is a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that has been represented in the Canadian House of Commons since 1988. It is an urban riding in the city of Calgary.

This riding was created in 1987 from Calgary East and Bow River ridings.

In 2003, parts of this electoral district were transferred to Calgary Centre-North riding.

This riding has elected the following members of the Canadian House of Commons:

  1. 1988-1993: Alex Kindy - Progressive Conservative
  2. 1993-present: Art Hanger - Conservative

[edit] Current Member of Parliament

Its Member of Parliament is Art Hanger, a former police officer. He was first elected in 1993. He represents the Conservative Party of Canada. He is the Conservative critic on Immigration. In the last parliamentary session he served as a member on the 'Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics', 'Standing Joint Committee for the Scrutiny of Regulations' and the 'Subcommittee on Solicitation Laws of the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness'.
