Calen Carr (born October 4, 1982 in Berkeley, California) is an American soccer player, who currently plays for the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.

Carr attended The Branson School in Ross, California and was named the team Offensive Player of the Year three times. During this time, Carr had trained at the Zico Academy in Brazil. Carr graduated from The Branson School in 2001.

[edit] College and Pro Career

Carr played college soccer at the University of California, Berkeley, where he finished with 22 goals and 15 assists in 75 matches. He was named Pac-10 Conference Player of the Year in 2005, as well as All-American. He played with Orange County Blue Star in the USL Premier Development League for two seasons, and in the summer of 2005, Carr trained with Arsenal in England.

Carr was drafted in the first round, 10th overall, by the Chicago Fire in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft. Carr scored his first professional goal for the Chicago Fire on June 11, 2006 in the 90th minute in a 3-3 tie against the New England Revolution. In the U.S. Open Cup, Carr scored three goals and two assists - statistics not included in MLS statistics of league-only games. Calen Carr is a solid player on the Chicago Fire. He is a true sport and is working on his defensive skills. He has played a bit of midfield this year and has showed a lot of skill at that position.
