Calculus Made Easy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Calculus Made Easy is a 1910 book on calculus by Silvanus P. Thompson, considered a classic and elegant introduction to the subject. The original text is public domain, but a newer edition by Martin Gardner is available which uses more modern terminology, and justifies its old-style use of infinitesimals in defiance of the old formalist party line that it lacked rigor by citing Abraham Robinson's nonstandard analysis.
