Cain Mathema is the governor and resident minister of Bulawayo. In late February on 2008, he was present at rally supporting Sikhanyiso Ndlovu's bid for the Pelandava-Mpopoma constituency seat.[1] Notwithstanding the fact that the opposition parties had never been in government, Mathema is quoted saying at the rally that: "vote for the ruling party as the opposition MDC had failed to deliver and had made false promises to the electorate."
