From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cahan & Associates is a strategic design firm that was founded in 1984 by former architect, Bill Cahan. The firm is located in San Francisco, California. The firm has won over 2,700 awards nationally and internationally for its mix of branding, corporate identities, consumer and business-to-business brochures, package design, annual reports, advertising, event collateral, signage and website design. The firm gained early recognition for its groundbreaking annual report designs that led the way in how Corporate America communicated to its shareholders. The firm was featured on CNN and CNBC as the acknowledged leader in this field. Today the firm is still known for challenging existing thinking and creating an emotional connection with target audiences through its branding work for a mix of professional service organizations, Fortune 500 clients, emerging companies and non-profit organizations such as Coca-Cola, Pottery Barn Kids, Fosters, Brown Forman, Morgan Stanley, Charles Schwab, Morrison & Foerster, Stroock, Yellow Roadway, Herman Miller, Maxygen, Gap Inc, and Institute for One World Health.

Cahan & Associates’ work is also included in the permanent collections of the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, The Library of Congress and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Cahan & Associates is the subject of a book released by Princeton Architectural Press, entitled I Am Almost Always Hungry, which is sold in bookstores and museums around the world.
