Caere (titular see)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Caere (Cære) is a Catholic titular see, corresponding to ancient Caere, modern Cerveteri (Cervetri). The title is currently held by Francesco Saverio Salerno[1].
Pope Marinus I and Pope Sergius II were bishops of Caere. The diocese was suppressed in the 11th century, its territory passing to the diocese of Porto e Santa Rufina.
