So do ten-letter words indicate "10" or "0" ? I think the example in the mnemonics page uses a 10-letter word to represent "0", whereas this here says that numerals above 10 could be used to represent "11" or "12" (etc) in Pi... So I assume the only way to represent "10" would be to have the "1" as a one-letter word (or, if "110", an eleven-letter word to start with) followed by a 10-letter word? 24.70.68.199 07:07, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

From the author's explanation page:
The words of Cadaeic Cadenza (again, excepting Section 12) embody the first 
3835 decimals of pi. The precise encoding rule is this: a word of N letters 
represents
    - the digit N if N<10
    - the digit 0 if N=10, and
    - two adjacent digits if N>10
        (e.g., a 12-letter word represents the digit '1' followed by '2').
So, to answer your question, the digit sequence 10 would indeed be a one-letter word followed by a ten-letter word, while the sequence 110 would be an eleven-letter-word followed by a ten-letter-word. -- Rpresser 13:55, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

I get the impression that Mike Keith leads to the wrong person. Unless the legend known for his guffawing of football-related onomatopoeia is also the writer. Might I suggest we create a new article? - FelisSchrödingeris 03:40, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

I agree it's not the same Mike Keith. I don't know that there's enough information to write a whole article about Mike the writer, but I will change the link so it no longer points to the wrong Mike. 13:17, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

I think we might benefit from clarifying that in the following sentence...

"The name of the piece itself is based on pi, as "Cadaeic" is the first 7 digits of pi, when rounded."

...it is assumed that A=1, B=2, C=3, etc. It can be inferred from the table immediately below it, but it's not terribly obvious. T. S. Rice 07:02, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
