[edit] Fictional character biography
Cade lives 130 years after the events of the original Star Wars films. He is the last surviving member of the Skywalker family, and as such counts among his ancestors Luke and Anakin Skywalker. As with the other members of his family, he is prodigiously talented in the Force, and can use his power to heal even fatal wounds.
Cade is present when the Sith attack the Jedi Temple on Ossus, where he is a Padawan. His father, Kol, and his master, Wolf Sazen, make a stand against the Sith in order for the children to escape. When Cade sees Sith Lord Darth Nihl stab Sazen through the heart after taking his arm, he disregards his father's orders and rushes to assist him. His father orders him to take Sazen and leave. Cade refuses to let Sazen die, however, using his powers to literally bring him back from the dead. In doing so he touches the dark side of the Force and gains the attention of Darth Krayt, the Sith's supreme leader and future leader of part of the Empire.
Cade later sees his father struck down by Nihl's Force lightning. He wants revenge for his father's death, but Sazen warns him that if he strikes down the Sith he will become one. Imperial fighters try to cut off the Jedi's escape, so Cade boards his ship and attempts to singlehandedly take on the invaders. His fighter is destroyed, but Sazen knows he is not dead because Cade had strengthened their bond by bringing him back from the dead, and Sazen can't feel Cade's death in the Force. He swears that if Cade is alive, he will find him.
He reappears seven years later working as a bounty hunter for the pirate Rav, along with fellow mercenaries Deliah Blue and Jariah Syn. Cade resents his Jedi heritage and shuns the Force, as it has only brought him despair. He is known for using deathsticks to dull his connection to the Force — as well as periodic visitations from the spirit of his ancestor Luke Skywalker, who entreats him to reclaim his calling as a Jedi.
While on the planet Socorro, the Imperial Princess, fleeing from her assassin, calls on Cade for help. When they land on Vendaxa, he is reunited with his old friends Wolf Sazen and Shado Vao. When a Sith Lord named Darth Talon attacks the group and nearly kills Sazen, Cade throws her into the woods with a very powerful blast of Force energy. While Jariah, who detests the Jedi, begins to doubt Cade, Deliah is impressed and wonders how successful they would be if Cade used his powers all the time. Darth Talon later returns with a number of other Sith, including Darth Nihl. When the Imperial Princess, who is trained in the ways of the Force, saves Cade from another Sith and is fatally wounded in the process, Cade takes her lightsaber and attacks Nihl. In the end, he kicks Nihl over a cliff and gets everyone on his ship. While on board, he uses his powers to revive the princess. When they arrive at Bastion, the Imperial capital, Cade sneaks out of his ship and joins Sazen and Shado. But he tells them he has no intention of rejoining the Jedi Order.
However, after he returns to Ossus, he meets Jedi Master K'Kruhk and sees visions of Anakin and Mara Jade Skywalker. Moved, Cade decides to reclaim his Jedi heritage. Unfortunately, while trying to do the right thing, Cade is captured by the Sith Emperor Darth Krayt (formerly the Jedi Knight A'sharad Hett).
