[edit] The Visitors Centre

Cadbury World is a one-way self-guided tour. Recently, headsets have become available for an audio tour narrated by Sally Boazman ("Sally Traffic" from BBC Radio 2). The average walk around the exhibition lasts about 1 ¾ hours, not including the Cadbury Collection Museum, which is situated outside the visitors centre. Cadbury world contains a play area, two shops, a restaurant, a snack bar and a picnic area. The attraction recommends you allow 3 hours for your visit.[1]

The tour includes realistic themed environments, exhibiting the history of chocolate, the Cadbury company, chocolate making, and other topics. Along the tour, visitors pass through jungle and street environments all displaying information on the history of chocolate production. There are theatre shows with moving and graphic elements, including a look inside the factory movie, with shaking theatre seating. The main element of the tour consists of a walk around the factory along a designated path to see the processes of chocolate production. Note however that whilst the tour is informative and you do pass through parts of disused factory, you do not see any of the "live" factory in operation. This is probably due to stringent food-grade health and safety regulations. The tour also has a tasting area where visitors can sample chocolates made in front of them. The advertising is explored with a chance to see the mock-up chocolate set used in the making of the Coronation Street TV commercials.

[edit] Cadabra

Cadabra is a car ride aimed at small children. This slow ride takes passengers around fictional scenes of "Beanville." After the ride guests can purchase a photo of themselves on the ride or have the photo converted into mugs and keychains. All of the ride is made out of plastic.

[edit] The Purple Planet

The newest and most high-tech area of Cadbury World is The Purple Planet. In this interactive exhibition guests can grow virtual Ghanaian cocoa beans, chase creme eggs across an interactive floor, and shower themselves in chocolate rain.[2]

[edit] The Cadbury Collection

Visitors in addition can also visit the social museum, the Cadbury Collection, charting the ideas behind and history of Bournville with rare artifacts.
