Cadbury Roses

Cadbury Roses are a selection of individually wrapped miniature special occasion chocolates created by the British confectioners, Cadbury.

Roses are a common stand-by gift choice due to the variety of contained chocolates. They are an extremely common gift on Mother's Day and sell well throughout the Christmas period. They are available in tins, boxes or jars and currently contain 14 different varieties of chocolate:

  • Brazilian Darkness, - Red wrapper with gold twists.
  • Cadbury Dairy Milk, - Purple Dairy Milk wrapper.
  • Tangy Orange Creme, - Square shaped, wrapped in orange foil.
  • Country Fudge, - Pale brown wrapper.
  • Chocolate Bite, - Purple wrapper.
  • Golden Barrel, - Half-Barrel shaped, wrapped in gold foil.
  • Hazel Whirl, - Purple wrapper with orange twists.
  • Strawberry Dream, - Pink foil wrapped.
  • Caramel, - Gold wrapped.
  • Caramel Velvet, - Green foil wrapped.
  • Orange Crisp, - Orange wrapper.
  • Praline Moment, - Silver foil wrapped.
  • Hazel in Caramel, - Purple wrapper
  • Chunky Truffle. - Shaped like a chocolate brick, wrapped in blue foil.

They are most frequently advertised with the classic slogan of "Say 'Thank You', with Cadbury Roses" in the UK and Australia, and "Thank you very much" on television advertisements. A memorable 1960s UK advertising campaign used the slogan 'Roses Grow On You' and included television advertisements presented by the comedian Norman Vaughan.
