Talk:Cable TV Hong Kong
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi, everyone. Do you think we should be more consistent in using some of the terms? For instance, should we use Cable TV Hong Kong, I-cable or Cable Hong Kong? 0101KUNGsf 04:59, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] RE: name of company
actually, i think Cable-TV is one branch of i-CABLE Communications. but is HK Cable a short form of HK Cable TV Ltd? If so, we should mention it in a bracket.
Cable TV Hong Kong
- Very good start on the intro.
- Remember to organize your wiki according to the most important and interesting information first. Board of Directors can be placed lower in the entry.
- Need to explain what Channel Digest it and how it is organized. Can use a lot more internal and external links.
- Be consistent with how you want to call the company. Once you provide the full name, you can abbreviate, but should be consistent.
- HK Cable TV Ltd or Hong Kong Cable Television Limited or Cable TV…
- NPOV and watch your grammar!
- It’s the second grand business that the group eagerly intentioned to develop.” -- Somebody has to be English editor and go over this kind of language carefully.
- Good start on external links. Can use a lot more internal links.

[edit] Better to codify it as Cable TV Hong Kong
I believe perhaps we should codify it to Cable TV Hong Kong when talking about it in the postings as Cable TV in Wiki is only defined as cable antennae television but not exactly the company. I-cable on the otherhand, seems to focus more on the company's developments in Broadband networking. What do you all think? 0101LIYL 0101LIYL 17:20, 14 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] image upload
Does anyone know how to upload the logo of Cable TV? I think it will be great if we have an image. Unfortunately, I am a technology dummy so please help!

[edit] Copyrights of images
just to be safe I am wondering if the downloaded images can be used this way on Wiki or are we offending the copyright laws?

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:I-cablelogo.gif
Image:I-cablelogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
