Moldova is a Republic with a democracy governed according to the principles of parliamentarism.
Legislative power is vested in the Parliament of Moldova. Executive affairs of government are decided by the Government of Moldova, which is led by the prime minister.
The Cabinet selected by president, subject to approval of Parliament.
