Cabin John Parkway

The Cabin John Parkway is a 1.5-mile parkway in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, near Cabin John, Maryland. The parkway is under the jurisdiction of the Maryland State Highway Administration.

The route begins at a directional wye interchange with the Clara Barton Parkway near Glen Echo Park. It runs northwest under the Union Arch Bridge and adjacent to Cabin John Creek, slicing through a parkland corridor between Cabin John and Bannockburn Estates. It terminates on I-495 within Cabin John Stream Valley Park; the terminus includes connections to Maryland Route 190 (River Road). The roadway is two lanes in each direction with left and right asphalt shoulders and a Jersey barrier median.

According to the Maryland Highway Location Reference, the Cabin John Parkway is designated "I-495X". However, the Highway Location Reference also states that the parkway is not part of the National Highway System, whereas all Interstate highways are automatically part of the NHS; it is not known if the FHWA considers the Cabin John Parkway to be part of the Interstate Highway System.
