There is very little commerce in Cabery. There is a post office, a small hardware store, the Cabery Bar and Grill (which includes a full-service restaurant) and the Cabery Fertilizer Company. There is also a grain elevator in Cabery, on the Kankakee County side.

[edit] Recreation

Cabery does have a park that has a lighted softball field, complete with a press box, basketball courts, and a playground. The park is quite nice considering the size of the community. Many if not all of the lights for the softball field were donated from the old Comiskey Park.[citation needed]

There is also a very small pond called the Clay Hole which is unsuitable for swimming, but is a nice fishing pond and is well used in the warm months. Both bluegills and small Largemouth bass can be caught there.
