Cañón del Pato

Cañon del Pato (Spanish: Duck Canyon) is is a canyon in Peru. The Río Santa flows through the canyon and is used for hydro electricity. Despite the river, the canyon is very arid.
An unpaved road runs through the canyon and passes through a large number of rough cut tunnels. It serves as the main route from Chimbote/Trujillo to Caraz.
