[edit] History

The company C3 Presents represents the merger of Charles Attal Presents and Capital Sports and Entertainment's music division. The company was formed when Walker stepped down as president of the North American division of Live Nation to partner with Attal and Jones. [2]

[edit] Environment

C3 Presents is making a concerted effort to 'green up' its concerts. The company created a wave this year when it banned Styrofoam cups from the sixth annual Austin City Limits Music Festival. Other green measures were also taken, such as bamboo-based concert T-shirts, gel sanitizer and recycled toilet paper in the bathrooms, and bio-diesel power generators. [3] The company also went green at its other major event, Lollapalooza: they implemented recycling incentives, and used biodegradable and recyclable food containers, utensils, and water bottles. In the generators and light towers on festival grounds, the company ran biodiesel fuel, which conserved 2,000 gallons of traditional diesel fuel and significantly reduced carbon monoxide emissions. C3 Presents said of their conservation efforts: "We are using the 'silver buckshot' method in our effort to be green - implementing small changes, but a lot of them, every day, and everywhere we can." [4]
