Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, usually known as Tecos (short for tecolotes, or owls in English) or UAG, is a Mexican professional association football club associated with the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. UAG plays in the Primera División de México. The club holds home games in the Estadio 3 de Marzo (Stadium Third of March, the University's anniversary: inaugurated in 1935), located in Zapopan, a municipality in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara.
UAG Tecos are one of three top flight teams in Guadalajara, winning the national championship once, and 2 international championships. UAG Tecos were runner up in the Clausura 2005 after losing to Club America in the second game 6-3
