C. V. Sreeraman was born on 1931 February 7th.He was te Vice- Chairman of Kerala Sahitya Akademi. He was famous as a gifted Short Story writer and novelist in Malayalam. C.V. Sreeraman’s stories stand foremost core to the theme, as exemplified by his Anayasena Maranam (Dying an Easy Death), Railway Palangal (The Rails). He has won the prestigious Kendra Sahitya Academy Award in 1999 for his collection of shortstories Sreeramante Kadhakal.
His short stories Vaastuhara and Chidambaram were converted into award winning movies by noted malayalam film director Aravindan. He passesd away on October 10th 2007.
