C. L. Schmitt

C. L. Schmitt of New Kensington, Pennsylvania served in the Pennsylvania State Legislature for 16 years, serving the 54th District and is noted for working to establish the PA Consumer Credit Act, which served as the model for the Federal Truth In Lending Law. A bridge connecting New Kensington to West New Kensington, Pennsylvania, across the Allegheny River, was built and named in his honor in 1927.
