[edit] Chart performances

"C'est les vacances" had a great success in France, but failed to achieve the same huge performance as the previous single, "Un Monde parfait". It went straight to #3 on July 25, 2005 (that week, "Un Monde parfait" dropped to #2 being replaced at the top by Crazy Frog's "Axel F"). Here it stayed for another week, then peaked at #2. However, "Un Monde parfait", then released since five months, managed to reached again #2, thus surpassing again "C'est les vacances" which dropped to #3. This one remained for three consecutive weeks at this position, then was #4 for four weeks. After that, the single almost kept on dropping. It stayed for a total of 12 weeks in the top ten, 21 weeks in the top 50 and 29 weeks in the top 100.[1]
Although it was not certified, it was sold more than 442,800 copies. The SNEP revealed that the song was the fourth best-selling single during the first nine months of 2005,[2] and the seventh one of the year.[3]

In Belgium (Wallonia), the single debuted at #27 on July 16 on the Ultratop 40 Singles Chart, then jumped to #6 and reached two weeks after its peak position, #3, where it stayed for four unconsecutive weeks. It totaled 12 weeks in the top ten and 17 weeks on the chart (Top 40).[4] On the End of the Year Chart, the single was ranked #12.[5]

In Switzerland, the single was charted for 27 weeks, from July 31, 2005, to January 8, 2006. It started at #9 and reached its highest position, #6, in its second and fourth weeks on the chart.[6] It peaked at #60 on the Annual chart.[7]

"C'est les vacances" has a moderate success in Germany,[8] where it was charted #61, and in Russia, where it was little aired (#257 on the Airplay Chart).[9]
