Côtes de Toul

Côtes de Toul is a French wine produced in the département of Meurthe-et-Moselle in the Lorraine région. with vineyards covering 110 hectares in an area close to Toul, to the west of the city of Nancy.
Since 1998, wines produced in the following communities have been recognized by the AOC label: Lucey, Bruley, Pagney-derrière-Barine, Domgermain, Charmes-la-Côte, Mont-le-Vignoble, Blénod-lès-Toul, Bulligny. Côtes de Toul was previously a VDQS, and was classified as such in 1951.
4500 hectoliters of wine are produced annually. The varieties include:
- grey wine: at least 85% Pinot noir and Gamay noir grapes
- white wine: Auxerrois and Aubin grapes
- red wine: Pinot noir
The grey Côtes de Toul is also known as "Gris de Toul". It's one of the few grey wines of France.
