Cóndor railway station on the Rio Mulatos-Potosí line, Bolivia, is the world's second highest station, at an altitude of 4,786 m. (15,700 ft.).
It was formerly the highest station until the completion of Tanggula railway station on the Qingzang railway line in China.[citation needed] That was completed on 24 August, 2005 at 5,072 metres (16,500 feet) above sea level.
