César Award for Best Debut

The César Award for Best Debut (César de la meilleure première œuvre in French) was an award give out at the annual César Awards between 1982 and 1999. In 2000 it was renamed the César Award for Best Debut in Fiction (César de la meilleure première œuvre de fiction), and again renamed in 2006 as the César Award for the Best First Film (César du meilleur premier film).
