Talk:Cándido Antomattei

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My name is Marc Antomattei, my Wikipedia user name reads simply as "Antomattei". I am the creator of the article for muscian Cándido Antomattei. In a stub placed in the editing of my article (contesting my article) I see the words "autobiography". This article is not a autobiography of any sort, but rather a biography of an ancestor I have never met before. It is not a promotional piece of writing nor does it show any bias favoring the member it is written for. It is written based on cited facts from numerous online articles written by others and established musical works.

Recently I have obtained the contact information to his son Cesar Antomattei with whom I will obtain further information from and build upon this article in the future.

The importance of this article has to do with Cándido being the lead vocalist, or one of the lead vocalist of an Afro-Cuban band. This band is credited with being one source in the roots of the creation of important latin musical genres Mambo and Salsa. Cándido is a part of that history. Although the band is originally from Cuba, information about them has already begun transcending the world and has made its way into articles written in the UK. To state it simply this article is about history, and the deletion of it will be contributing to the destruction of a history that is fastly becoming forgotton. I am trying to cement that history in Wikipedia to keep that from happening. I plea for the administrators here not to delete this article at anytime.

I apologize if I do many edits. Most are minor correcting grammatical mistakes or just the flow of the article. Some are updates and addition of information. It shouldn't matter though just as long as it stays factual, which it has.
