Byron Mallott

Byron I. Mallott (born circa 1933 in Yakutat, Alaska) is an Alaskan politician and Tlingit clan leader.
Mallott's political career began at age 22 when he was elected Mayor of Yakutat in 1965.
Mallott served as Mayor of Juneau from 1994 to 1995 when he resigned, being succeeded by deputy mayor Dennis Egan, to become the executive director of the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation.
Mallott has also served as:[1][2]

- Chair of the Nature Conservancy of Alaska
- Director of the Alaska Public Radio Network
- Co-chair of Governor Tony Knowles's Commission on Rural Governance and Empowerment.
- Director of the Alaska Commercial Fisheries and Agriculture Bank
- Director of Alaska Air Group
