Byron High School is located in the small city of Byron, Illinois. Although taxes from the Byron Nuclear Generating Station allow the school district to employ many employees and activities, in 2006 Byron passed a referendum that raised taxes for support to build a new middle school and a new wing off of the high school. Byron High School students also receive high scores in terms of statistical percentage in state and national standardized tests.
