Bylakuppa

Bylakuppa is a Tibetian settlement consisting of seven monasteries set in rolling meadows near Mysore. It is about 210 km (131 miles) southwest of Bangalore and is a part of Mysore district. The land and other basic amenities like schools,etc. were provided to the Tibetian refugees about 50 years ago. The Namdroling Monastery, one the largest in this area, is home to a sangha community of over five thousand lamas.
