Bychaw or Bychov (Belarusian: Быхаў, IPA: ['bɨxaʊ], Polish: Bychów, Russian: Быхов; Łacinka: Bychaŭ) is a town in the western Belarusian voblast of Mahilyow. It is located 44 km south of Mahilyow (Mogilev) on the Dnieper River (Dniapro), and is the administrative center of the Bychaw Raion. The population is approximately 20,000 (1989).
Bychaw is known for its 17th century synagogue.
