By The Bed

"By the Bed" is the seventh track from Phantom Planet's self-titled third album. The song as been said to sound the most like Phantom Planet's 2002 release, The Guest. The lyrics can be taken a variety of ways.

"I left the lyrics in "By the Bed" open", says singer/songwriter/guitarist Alex Greenwald. "It could be about breaking up with a girl or about losing someone in general."[1]

At concerts Greenwald has said that the song was for anybody who had ever been cheated on.
