[edit] Gameplay

There are fifteen levels in the game. The levels are divided into five zones (3 levels per zone). Beforehand, there is a map where the player can select a level to play. Only the first level is available at first, but the player can unlock more levels by collecting Pizza Planet tokens. Each level starts with an FMV scene taken from the movie. On each level, the player must complete objectives to collect Pizza Planet tokens. There are five tokens on each level. A player has to collect at least one token to unlock the next level. In every last level in a zone, the player has to fight a boss to proceed to the next zone. A certain amount of tokens is required in order to access a boss level. When the player defeats a boss level, a bonus movie will be unlocked and can be viewed at any time. On some levels, Mr. Potato is missing a part which the player has to retrieve so that he/she can unlock an accessory so that some tasks can be solved. Returning to old levels later in the game may be required to do tasks that couldn't be done earlier. On the last level, the player will face the Prospector, the Gunslinger (Al's Penthouse) and the Blacksmith (Tarmac Trouble). The tasks include:

  • Five Collectables: On each level, there is a character who is missing five things, which the player must retrieve to get a token.
  • Hamm: On each level, the player, must collect fifty coins and give them to Hamm in order to get a token.
  • Timed Challenge: On each level, there is a character who will give a timed challenge that must be completed to get a token.
  • Puzzle: On each level, there is a puzzle that must be solved so the player can reach/earn the token.
  • Mini-Boss: On each level, there is a boss character, that must be defeated in order to earn a token.
