Buyeo County (Buyeo-gun) is a county in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. Buyeo-eup, the county's capital, was the site of the capital of the Baekje kingdom from AD 538 to 660, when it was called Sabi.
Famous people associated with Buyeo County in more recent times include noted stem-cell researcher Hwang Woo Suk.

Buyeo is located at the southern area of Chungcheongnam-do the heart of the Korean peninsula, and has the same latitude as Haulbin, Windam and the same longitude as Tokyo.[2]
In the time of Baekje (during the Three Kingdoms Era), the capital was moved to present-day Buyeo County (they called Sabi)ascribed to narrowness of the former capital (which was near present-day Seoul). A fortress called Garimseong was constructed for defending the new capital.[3]

Mid-located region of Korea has mild weather with an annual average temperature of 12.4 ˚C. The average temperature is 0.4 ˚C in winter season and 24.6 ˚C in summer. The annual average precipitation is 1388.4 mm.[4]

Buyeo county has held cultural festival featuring ancient Baekje's history which was bloomed in Buyeo and its neighborhood area since 1955 by residents themselves. From 1965, province officially announced to take place Baekje cultural memorial.[5] It was
Main events of festival include memorial as ancient history showing traditional costumes and marching. That concerns specially for the great work of 6 Kings of Sabi era and to applaud the loyalty of 3 loyal subjects.[6] This festival was appointed as one of the national best festivals in 2007.[7]
