[edit] Thanks for the link!
Thanks for clearing up the doubts about Image:Tn sybian gmax1.jpg. I added your link to that page. By the way, if you have a higher-resolution version of that photograph, it would be wonderful if you could upload it. Thanks, dbenbenn | talk 23:31, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I'd love to when I have more time. Thanks for the show of support.--Buttysquirrel 23:44, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed you placed three pictures on Wikipedia's Images for deletion (WP:IFD). I saw your reason on why you wish to delete the images. However, I will tell you why the user removed the website address from the images. Wikipedia does not like to use images that have a watermark on them. My reasoning is that the watermark is a distracting part of the picture. It is perfectly fine to say where the pictures came from, but I do not think it is wise to use pictures with the website address on them. If you have any questions, come see me. Anyways, thanks for joining Wikipedia and have a good day. Zscout370 (Sound Off) 22:54, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Picture request
Hey. I just filed a request for copyright OK pictures of the Sybian. It can be seen at Wikipedia:Requested_pictures#Erotica. Zscout370 (Sound Off) 3 July 2005 05:49 (UTC)
- Oh, I forgot to tell you how this works. Ok, I place a request on that page under a heading, in this case, erotica. Under that heading, I put what article I need pictures for, and what kind of pictures we need. Users watch the list and either locate or take photos which we can use on here. Not only they will show what the Sybian is, but the pictures will comply with the copyright we have here. If I left anything out, just let me know. Zscout370 (Sound Off) 4 July 2005 03:10 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Tn topco-love-machine.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Tn topco-love-machine.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 13:48, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] COI
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. --Ronz 00:29, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. [1] --Ronz 00:29, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Sybian. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. --Ronz 21:06, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Your edits in article-space to date consist mostly of adding links to the website you run. I realize that you made most of these edits years ago, but today such behavior is considered to be spamming. Please familiarize yourself with the current guidelines, especially Wp:spam#How_not_to_be_a_spammer. --Ronz 03:32, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Ronz 02:38, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi. Unfortunately, I agree with Ronz that your link isn't acceptable for the article. Please understand that our conflict of interest guidelines have changed significantly since the time of your initial contributions. Events such as WikiScanner and USA Congressional staff edits to Wikipedia, among others, have made this community much more sensitive to COI situations. Hope you understand, Skinwalker 13:08, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Sybian
Hey Buttysquirrel, while I appreciate your trust in my judgment, my opinion doesn't hold any more or less weight than that of Ronz or anyone else. Generally, as has been advised here and elsewhere, our COI and SPAM guidelines do not allow adding links to your own website. If you feel your website does comply with Wikipedia's policies on external links, then the best way to go about getting it on the page is to discuss it on the article's talk page, give the reasons you think it is a helpful link, engage in discussion with the page's editors, and gain a consensus there. I'd be more than happy to chime in with my own opinion there. Hope this helps, —bbatsell ¿? ✍ 03:17, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Given your involvement in Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard/Archive_18#Sybian, and your edits since, I suggest WP:THIRD as a good next step. --Ronz 17:14, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please note
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors.
