Talk:Butcher of Baghdad

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From WP:RfD:

  • Butcher of Baghdad ---> Saddam Hussein. And in answer to the anonymous user (why not create an account, by the way?), if someone is searching for Slick Willy, they already know who Bill Clinton is in most cases. The existence of that redirect doesn't catch people who don't know what it is, but does serve as cheap political laughs. Meelar (talk) 23:59, Apr 8, 2005 (UTC)
    • Keep If a user might type it in for any reason it is useful for the redirect to point to an NPOV article. SchmuckyTheCat 03:22, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • Is there any other harm that would result from keeping the insulting redirects, other than that they clutter up the "What links here" page? I don't think it's going to hurt the politicians' feelings. Rad Racer | Talk 03:47, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)
      • Google indexes them, so they show up on searches, for one thing. —Korath (Talk) 08:42, Apr 9, 2005 (UTC)
      • IMO, insulting redirects violate NPOV. Meelar (talk) 19:21, Apr 10, 2005 (UTC)
