Two male Tule Elk walk away from the camera. While this State of California, Resources Agency, Department of Fish and Game, "Elks club" has an address of 8653 Station Rd., Buttonwillow, CA 93206, the location is physically closer to Tupman. Straight-line distance from reserve headquarters to Grace Road and Tupman Road is 2.4 miles. Buttonwillow is about three times further: 7.6 miles. Signs at the reserve say an estimated 500,000 Tule Elk once inhabited California.
