Butterworth Hall Brook is a water course in Greater Manchester which flows through the village of Milnrow and is a tributary of the River Beal.

[edit] Course

Rising at Tunshill, the brook flows in a south-westerly direction under the M62 Motorway, then through Claylands Head, and the Butterworth Hall area of Milnrow, before joining the River Beal.

[edit] History

Part of the stream bed once formed a bridleway called Water Lane, which has now fallen out of use and become a full blown watercourse. The road by the side of the route, retains the name of Water Lane.
