Butte County High School is a high school in Arco, Idaho. Despite its extremely small size — the school had an enrollment of 166 students in 2004-05[1] — the school has won multiple awards and championships in interscholastic competition.

The school's debate teams have won state championships in 1967 (Class A Open) 1965 and 1966 (Class B Girls), and in 1974, 1978 and 1982.[2]

The 2006 team won the Class 2A State championship, with a 75-49 win over Soda Springs High School, finishing the season as undefeated champions.[3][4] The 2004 girls basketball team holds the state Class 2A record for most points scored in the playoff tournament (214) and highest average points per game (71.3), set during the 2006 playoffs.[5]

The boys basketball team won the Idaho High School Activities Association 1983 Class 2A State Champiosnhip.[6]

The girls track team won the 1972 Class B IHSAA State championship.[7]

A track team member holds the Class 2A state record in the long jump, clearing 6-10.5, a record set in 2004.[8]

The boys basketball team won the Class 2A state championship in 1983.[9]

The girls volleyball team won the IHSAA Class 2A state championships in 1987, 1989 and 1996.[10]

The baseball team won the 2005 Class 2A Academic State Championship.[11]
