Could you please be a bit more careful when trimming articles like that? I had to restore about 4/6 of the remove chars, because they were sufficiently important to stay. I'm AGF here, but be more careful in future, and don't make such edits without concensus unless you've played the related parts of the game/book/whatever in question. Even then be careful. If you want to be productive, why not take some (but not all) of the info on Archimonde in wowwiki, and pad out his secment a bit? Perhaps, but it seemed to be a lot more than you, or anyone else was doing on the article. All of you just set there when it was in AFD, and all of you just set there when other people offered advice. Either someone need's to clean that article up, or next time it goes to afd, it won't be there to clean up. --businessman332211 (talk) 04:20, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
You are right, but frankly, noone who's interested (myself included) seems to have the time to clean it up. We basically just do sporadic patches of the major problems that come up and hope nobody AFD's it again. You could try making a list of the iffy chars and put it on the talk page, and I'll try to look over them and remove/trim as necessary? Something like that could work? Incidentally, I've deleted the Razorgore the Untamed bit, as well as his own article several times, and he just keeps popping back up. I don't know why.--Pharod42 (talk) 05:24, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Sounds good. I will work up some lists, of minor characters I think need to get removed. Then we can talk about them together. Sounds good. I just got frustrated on that one because everyone was saying "We need to remove minor characters", " we need to update headers" and everything else but no-one was doing it (that's what be bold is about). Great idea to fix up this article!! Usually I find the best way to fix an article is to have a model to see what the format is and what types of information are needed. Take this one for example; List of Metal Gear Solid characters, which is also currently the only featured character list. I hope this helps, keep up the good work! Of course it's not everything. It is just something that gives people access to do more things on wikipedia to help than they could have. I am a little pissed because of what was said though. I am just unable to believe someone thinks that I think wikipedia is a joke. I am really considering that to be a time for me to move on. I can't imagine someone telling someone they think something is a joke. Nothing else has offended me this much. But i have spend 8-9 hours straight some days doing NOTHING but editing wikipedia, and someone says something like that to me.. I don't really know what to say. The other's were constructive, throughout the next 2-3 months if I am around I know what to work on towards becoming a better wikipedian. Although new to Wiki, I do not know of any Wiki rule or policy that gives one editor the right to censor the contribution of another editor. I am trying to improve the Wiki article on Clairvoyance, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clairvoyance. This is essentially an article on parapsychology and I happen to be knowledgeable in the subject matter. I have tried to add four fair, neutral and well-referenced paragraphs to balance the atricle. However, within minutes other editors click on Undo, and revert or delete my material. This is not science. It is censorship. I sent a message to one to invite negotiation. He would not discuss any issues but only encouraged me to begin DR, which he knows is a long and complicated process. So I am asking for advise from an experienced editor. I had to move the conversation here as it was on my user page initially. In order to help with your problem you need to look at the other person's perspective. Did you ask them why they keep doing it. I use to do that when I first started, but generally if you go to revision history it'll say why they are undoing it. For example in the message history there is a brief description of all user actions perhaps someone put a note as to why they were reverting to give you an idea of why they felt it doesn't belong. If it was a vandal bot it may have picked it up falsly as vandalism when it really wasn't. --businessman332211 (talk) 18:34, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
