This Template was created to indicate operators of buses in Scotland. Whilst the 'Regional' section is in no way exhaustive, operators have only been included if a Wikipedia article exists on them. This is in contrast to the 'Bus Companies of England' template, which has blurred the lines between 'bus' and the more general title 'public transport'. Rather than the corporations that own the individual operators (such as First plc, Stagecoach, ComfortDelGro etc. owning for example 'First Aberdeen', 'Stagecoach Strathtay' or 'Citylink'), this template was created to display the operators themselves (First Aberdeen, Stagecoach Strathtay and Citylink etc.), rather than the parent company.

Please also remember that Scotland is not a region in the same way that the North-West of England is, for example. If anyone wishes to create a seperate template displaying the Public Transport Corporations that are owners of many of the Bus companies listed here, then please do so. 212.139.102.52 (talk) 15:02, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
