[edit] Proposed merger from Cluster effect
The history here is that I've tidied up two articles originally at "Porter's cluster" and "Cluster initiative", now at the more common Google terms "Business cluster" and Cluster development, from the perspective of starting from the Science park issues. The third original article at "Cluster effect" is weakly linked and uncategorized, so it looks a good candidate for merger.--Mereda 15:04, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Merge it. It's very relevant to Business cluster article.GeoW 09:50, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm quite favorable to a merger. I created sections in the "cluster effect" article that might help this. --Pgreenfinch 14:19, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Should be merged, both are the same. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.68.151.122 (talk) 13:15, 13 December 2006 (UTC).

[edit] correction
QUOTE * Historic knowhow-based clusters - These are based on more traditional activities that maintain their advantage in know-how over the years, and for some of them, over the centuries. They are often industry specific.
- This is misunderstandable. Historic knowhow based clusters would in my view be places like the City of London: it has a long history as a colonial center that makes it a modern center of international banking etc., but you cannot really call the things being done there today "traditional activities". Any other opinions? --Lamme Goedzak 18:55, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
