[edit] Bushmaster II also designated M242?
Is it correct that the Bushmaster II is also designated M242 or should I remove it? --Edward Sandstig 13:58, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The M242 is not a Bushmaster II
The 25mm version is a Bushmaster I, while the 30mm is the Bushmaster II. 72.68.172.44 20:38, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AC-130 Gunship version of MK44/Bushmaster II
AZsparrow 13:57, 6 June 2007 (UTC) It may want to be noted that the version of this weapon for the AC-130 uses a "side-eject" system for spent casings, as opposed to the normal "forward-eject" as most models of MK44, or derivatives such as the M242. This is to protect the aircraft from damage that may be caused by empty cases hitting the aircraft while in flight. The muzzle break is also different in design to protect the aircraft from excessive "muzzle blast" pressures while firing.
[edit] Barrel length
The barrel length must be wrong whates stated is the length of the entire weapon. Unless Chain guns are just barrels?
