Origin: Romania
Notable regions: county of Iaşi

Busuioacă de Bohotin (IPA[bu.su.'jǒa.kə de bo.ho.'tin]) is a unique grape which grows in one small area of Romania, the county of Iaşi, around the town of Husi. The wine has a light red color, unidentifiable with any other wine. Its flavor is unique too, resembling honeysuckle and ripe juicy peaches, with a perfect harmony of sugar, alcohol and acidity. The sweet taste sometimes has a barely perceptible almond like bitter aroma.
