[edit] Overview
In the mid 90's, they also added Northwest Airlink to the airlines they flew under. In late 1997, American Eagle was added making three code shares for BEX. In late 1998, American Eagle bought Business Express for their gate slots in Boston and New York, plus their outstanding order for Embraer ERJ 135 jets. By late 1999, BEX started returning all of their 43 Saab 340's (23 A models, 20 B models) to their lessor and in late 2000, the airline stopped operations when all flights were taken over by American Eagle. One of the final flights was from Boston to the BEX Maintenance base in Bangor, Maine. The airline was based in Dover, New Hampshire.
Business Express utilized the FAA designator of "GAA", and the airline code of "HQ". The radio callsign was BizEx.
