Not to be confused with Busia District, Kenya.
Busia is a district in eastern Uganda. Like many other Ugandan districts, it is named after its main town – Busia town. The district borders Busia District, Kenya to the east. It was originally a county, Busia County in Tororo District, but became a district on March 20, 1997.
